'Til the cows come home

'Til the cows come home

Last night, suited and booted, we headed off to Sandown Park for the auction of amazing bovine creations for the Surrey Hills Cow Parade.

As you know, we designed Gatwick Airport's cow - Amoolia Earhart - who you probably saw standing proud at the airport over the last few months. Well, last night, Amoolia and friends were auctioned off, with proceeds going to each sponsor's chosen charities.

I don't know if you've ever been to a cattle auction before - I hadn't until yesterday - but the bidding was fast and furious with great sums securing cows for their purchasers' pastures.

We're delighted to say that Amoolia is returning to Storm HQ - we couldn't see her herded off to another buyer, so next time you're passing the office, keep an eye out for her. We're even more delighted that Gatwick TravelCare will be able to help passengers across the airport as a result.

With the best part of £80,000 raised for all of the charities taking part in the Cow Parade, it was a great night and we're proud to have played a part in the fantastic fundraising effort, but we had to keep an eye on this bidder to ensure we didn't end up with a herd of our own back at the office:
