Walking on thin ice

Last Thursday, rather bleary eyed I must admit, I arrived at Hassocks railway station at 07.30 wearing - as instructed - warm clothes and walking shoes. Having only received a foam fox mask - by far and away the most cryptic invitation clue to date - I had absolutely no idea what to expect.

With the arctic weekend weather on the way, a steaming coffee and bacon sandwich were just what the doctor ordered. Suitably warmed, we set off on a six - yes six - mile walk along the South Downs, the views from which never cease to amaze me. However, we weren't just there to see the sights - this was networking after all.

Encouraged to share our best practices from 2016 and ideas on how to make our respective business visions a reality this year, I had some really interesting conversations with other Acumen Club members.

Despite my trepidation, it was a great way to start the day and something I might bring to the team at Storm - if I can get them out of bed early enough.

Eyes on the letterbox for the next session's clue.
